Morial Convention Center. The contributions include presentations in five tutorials and two papers as well as hardware and software demonstrations. Please visit ETS-Lindgren in Booth 601 at the symposium exhibition to learn about our latest products and services plus see a TILE! and 5G demonstration.

The tutorials start the morning of Monday morning, July 22 with the tutorial "Connected Vehicles: The Future of the Modern Automotive Industry". ETS-Lindgren's Garth D'Abreu will discuss implementing vehicle level measurements for advanced driver assistance systems. On Monday afternoon, ETS-Lindgren's Zhong Chen will present in the tutorial, "Global EMC and Wireless Standards Update: Test Site Validation and Measurement Techniques." Mr. Chen, Chair of ANSI C63 Subcommittee 1, will discuss time domain measurement techniques for site validation as described in the newly published ANSI C63.25.1-2019. Doug Kramer of ETS-Lindgren will also present in this tutorial on measurement traceability in the CISPR 16-1-6 pattern measurements for CISPR 16-1-4 site validations. Also in the afternoon, Jari Vikstedt and James Young of ETS-Lindgren will present in the tutorial, "Performance Verification Test Challenges of Modern Wireless Devices." Mr. Vikstedt will discuss the 5G New Radio (NR) with its implications for EMC and antenna testing while Mr. Young will present on FCC Part 30 related to radiated spurious emissions on mmWave devices. This tutorial also features noted expert Professor Gabriel Rebeiz of the University of California, San Diego, who will present his pioneering work on phased arrays for 5G systems.

The tutorials continue on Friday morning, July 26 with ETS-Lindgren's Garth D'Abreu presenting in the tutorial "Automotive EMC Standards and Instrumentation Update". Mr. D'Abreu will discuss the impact of Over-the-Air (OTA) communication on future automotive industry standards. Friday afternoon features ETS-Lindgren engineers Doug Kramer and Zhong Chen presenting in the tutorial "Advances in Antenna Calibration and Measurements for EMC Applications." Mr. Kramer will discuss the differences and similarities between the CISPR and ANSI antenna calibration standards. Mr. Chen will provide an overview on antenna calibration requirements for site validation and product emissions testing. Mr. Chen is also presenting as an invited speaker in the popular Clayton R. Paul Global University. He will provide an overview on antennas used for EMC measurements.

ETS-Lindgren is proud to announce the presentation of two accepted papers at the symposium. This includes "Understanding Site Validation Measurements below 1 GHz in the ANSI Standards" and "A Novel Method for Accurately Predicting NSA Performance of Anechoic EMC Chambers". Zhong Chen, Director of RF Engineering, will present these papers.

For complete tutorial details, please see the advance program on the symposium website for the dates of July 22 and 26. The schedule for the accepted technical papers and the Global University will be announced shortly.

In addition to the ETS-Lindgren engineers presenting in the five tutorials and Global University noted above, James Young and Ross Carlton will present as part of the symposium's hands-on experiments and demonstrations program held in the exhibit hall. (Dates and times to be announced.) Mr. Young will present "FCC Part 30 Emissions Measurements for 5G FR2 Devices" and Mr. Carlton will present "Conducted RF Immunity Testing per IEC 61000-4-6." Michael Christopher of ETS-Lindgren will lead the annual TILE!™ Users Group (TUG) meeting on Wednesday morning, July 24. The TUG meeting is open to existing users and others interested in learning more about the latest features of TILE! - the popular EMC lab management software - and VisionTRX™, a visual monitoring system that redefines automated failure based analysis of equipment under test during EMC and many other testing scenarios. Register to attend the TUG meeting at https://tug2019.eventbrite.com.

On special events during the symposium, ETS-Lindgren will support at the ANSI C63 wireless workshops on ANSI C63.10 and ANSI C63.26 scheduled for Saturday, July 20 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. For more information on the ANSI C63 workshop, click here.

Representatives of ETS-Lindgren's ETS-U will be on-hand during the symposium exhibition to discuss upcoming educational courses on Wireless Over-The-Air (OTA) (August 13-15), TILE! (October 29-30), and EMC Fundamentals (November 13-15). These unique courses feature classroom study supplemented with hands-on lab sessions. ETS-Lindgren's facilities include an A2LA accredited calibration lab, CTIA approved test lab (CATL), and NVLAP accredited acoustic lab (NVLAP lab code 100286-0).

For more information on the 2019 IEEE International Symposium on EMC and SI/PI, visit https://www.emc2019.emcss.org/

About ETS-Lindgren

ETS-Lindgren is an international manufacturer of components and systems that measure, shield, and control electromagnetic and acoustic energy.
