GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Illinois, January 31, 2011 - ETS-Lindgren celebrated the success of its new products and services for MRI shielding on display at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Show in Chicago, Illinois, last month. Visitors to ETS-Lindgren’s exhibit booth were excited to see the next generation of Med-Vizion LED lighting for MRI suite applications as well as learn about ETS-Lindgren’s popular Technical Engineering and Consulting (TEC) services.
The next generation of Med-Vizion LED lighting products for MRI applications offers a significant improvement over traditional incandescent lighting. Unique to ETS-Lindgren, these maintenance free lighting systems are rated for 80,000 hours of usage and feature simple installation with plug and play connections. Most importantly, compared to traditional incandescent lighting, the environmentally conscious Med-Vizion lighting offers brighter images with reduced energy consumption, resulting in lower energy bills over time. The next generation Med-Vizion LED lighting on display at RSNA included the Wall and Ceiling Graphic Display Panels as well as the new ZXR Down Light and Dimmer System.
ETS-Lindgren’s popular Technical Engineering and Consulting (TEC) group offers extensive access to the company’s trained technicians and engineers. This veteran group provides expert consulting services for the design and evaluation of MRI shielding systems, including vibration surveys, acoustic evaluation, and site planning for cost-effective, optimal integration into an existing or new MRI facility. The new Magnetic Active Compensation Systems (MACS) is offered through the TEC group; this innovative product protects expensive MRI systems from environmental electromagnetic interference generated by moving cars, elevators and electrical power systems commonly found in crowded urban areas. ETS-Lindgren also partners with West Physics Consulting to now offer radiation shielding consulting and design.
“We were extremely pleased with the interest in our new products and services by visitors to our booth at this year’s RSNA show,” said Ben Turner, Vice President, Global Business Development-Medical for ETS-Lindgren. “We look forward to another great show next year as well,” he added.
