New Rugged Cases Protect Antennas and Probes from Damage

CEDAR PARK, September 16, 2010 – ETS-Lindgren announced a new series of rugged product cases designed for safe and secure shipping and storage of the company’s antennas and probes.

The cases are constructed of vacuum-formed polyethylene and feature uniform wall strength with thick, reinforced corners. Additionally, they are moisture and chemical resistant. A tight, secure latched seal ensures the protective environment. Inside, the cases feature dense, cushioned foam custom cut to the dimension of a specific antenna, probe or other piece of test equipment for an exact, snug fit. An interior pocket provides convenient storage for product manuals and other documents.

“We designed these cases for multiple transportation cycles and to provide safe, convenient storage for sensitive equipment when not in use,” said Steve Raines, Calibration Manager for ETS-Lindgren. “We see hundreds of antennas, probes and LISNs arrive at our calibration lab on a regular basis. You’d be surprised at some of the packaging we see. It’s not uncommon for perfectly good equipment to arrive damaged due to poor packaging. With these rugged cases, the equipment is protected and no additional internal or external packaging is necessary.” he added.

ETS-Lindgren offers the rugged cases for its popular horn antennas. Other models are being added on an ongoing basis. For more information, view the datasheet or contact Dale Stone at +1.512.531.6400.
