CEDAR PARK, Texas, October 8, 2008 – Advance Data Technology (ADT) Corporation in Taiwan now has the first WiMAX Forum™ Designated Certification Laboratory in Asia. Designed and installed by ETS-Lindgren, the Model AMS-8500 antenna measurement system will be used primarily to conduct Radiated Performance Testing (RPT) developed by the WiMAX Forum to evaluate the radiated performance of mobile WiMAX devices. Now, network operators may be assured that WiMAX certified devices operate reliably on their networks. ETS-Lindgren received the award due to its unique dual role as a leading, globally based test chamber supplier as well as an active member of and technical contributor to the WiMAX Forum that developed the new RPT standard.

ETS-Lindgren will provide an Antenna Measurement System, Model AMS-8500, for the testing of 2G, 3G and 4G wireless equipment and mobile handsets as called out in the RPT standard. Model AMS-8500 includes a high-performance RF shielded rectangular anechoic chamber, a Multi-Axis Positioning System (MAPS), and EMQuest EMQ-100 Antenna Pattern Measurement Software. This WiMAX certification test system is specifically designed to measure active mobile radios at a far-field and/or radiating near-field test distance for testing low directivity equipment and antennas. In addition, ADT purchased the optional package to perform CTIA OTA testing as well as WiFi testing using Model AMS-8500 - a convenient turnkey system that includes the chamber, software and supporting test instrumentation.
