Any Baby Can Receives $25,000 for Children’s Hearing Aid Texas Program
Cedar Park, Texas – January 18, 2009 - ETS-Lindgren, a division of ESCO Technologies (NYSE: ESE), and the ESCO Technologies Foundation made a $25,000 donation to Any Baby Can. The $25,000 donation will be used to serve children and families through the Any Baby Can Family Literacy Program, Parenting Education Program and Children’s Hearing Aid Texas (CHAT).
In the last four years, the ESCO foundation has donated $60,000 to the Any Baby Can Family Literacy and Parenting Education Programs, with this year’s support extending to Children’s Hearing Aid Texas (CHAT).
“We chose to support Any Baby Can because it works with deserving children and families in need, here in Central Texas, where our employees live and work,” said Bruce Butler, President of ETS-Lindgren.
This donation is close to ETS-Lindgren’s day-to-day business since the Cedar Park facility manufactures highly specialized audio testing rooms used in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing problems in children and adults.
“In a year when many corporations and foundations are contributing less, ETS-Lindgren and the ESCO Foundation increased their financial support of Any Baby Can,” said Ellen Balthazar, Executive Director of Any Baby Can. “We appreciate their financial support as well as the hands-on volunteer hours ETS-Lindgren employees spend here at Any Baby Can.”
Support of the Family Literacy and Parenting Education Programs allows Any Baby Can to give parents the literacy tools and parenting skills to support their child’s success in school, increase self-sufficiency, and raise a healthy family. The support of CHAT allows Any Baby Can to provide auditory services and hearing aids to children with audio logical needs who have no financial alternatives to meet those needs.
"Any Baby Can creates worthy programs that benefit the Central Texas community," said Heathre Moler, Global Director of Human Resources for ETS-Lindgren and member of the ESCO Technologies Foundation Board of Directors. “I am proud of our employees for not only donating part of their paychecks to Any Baby Can, but also their time to this organization.”
