Cedar Park, Texas – January 19, 2010 – ETS-Lindgren’s Beijing facility successfully completed the requirements for compliance with ISO 9001:2000 for “The Design, Manufacture, Calibration and Construction of Electromagnetic Compliance Equipment and Facilities.” ETS-Lindgren began this effort for ISO certification of its management system in late 2008 and achieved full implementation in nine months. KCB conducted the certification audits on August 31, 2009. Official approval was received on September 9, 2009. ETS-Lindgren now boasts three facilities worldwide that are ISO certified: the company’s headquarters in Cedar Park, Texas, its European facility in Eura, Finland, and most recently its Asia facility located in the Haidian district of Beijing.
Mark Mawdsley, Managing Director of Asia Operations for ETS-Lindgren, credited the entire ETS-Lindgren Beijing team for the success of the ISO certification noting, “Our success was contingent upon personnel in all departments recognizing the importance of quality assurance principles.”
ETS-Lindgren established the Beijing facility in 2002 in order to better serve its growing customer base in Asia. “When we opened the facility, our goal was to achieve ISO certification in order to document a commitment to quality products and services to our customers. With this certification, our customers may have greater confidence in our product performance and delivery,” added Mr. Mawdsley.
The Beijing facility, the manufacturing centerpiece of ETS-Lindgren’s operations in Asia, has a dedicated staff of over 120 direct employees who perform administration, sales, engineering, project management, installation and service functions. The world class manufacturing and QA facility produces RF shielded panels, RF swing and sliding doors, shield waveguide vents, and RF shielded components. The company conveniently services its Asia based customers in the EMC, RF Microwave, Wireless, MRI medical and Acoustic industries. ETS-Lindgren also maintains offices in Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and India as part of its Asia operations.
