Popular Pan Shielding Series 101™ Now Available to Growing Market
CEDAR PARK, Texas – April 6, 2015 – ETS-Lindgren Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. proudly announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in India to produce the company’s popular pan-type Series 101 galvanized steel panels used for Radio Frequency (RF) shielding applications. For many decades, only imported modular shields were used to build the numerous government and private sector test laboratory chambers in India. Now, this pioneering venture in India is open and has been successfully assessed by an independent ISO 17025 accredited agency to guarantee Series 101 shielding panels provide magnetic and electric shielding effectiveness from 85 dB to well over 100 dB, for corresponding frequencies from 10 KHz to 40 GHz. This shielding performance range is required for test and measurement in compliance with global military and commercial Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards as well as expanding Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) test applications. Pan-type Series 101 RF shielding is ideal for EMI, EMC, and EMP testing of products for many markets, including automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, industrial and defense. Pan-type shielding also supports the medical market’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) shielding requirements, which is provided using copper panels manufactured by ETS-Lindgren (India).
ETS-Lindgren started manufacturing the Series 101 RF shielded steel panels at its Finland facility over 30 years ago, where the technology was originally patented decades earlier. The series quickly became the preferred shielding system by users since it met and/or exceeded all RF shielding requirements. In addition, the modular design facilitates very flexible adaption to a customer’s particular requirements. The system consists of modular, hot galvanized rigid steel structural panels. The Series 101 rooms can be dismantled, moved and reinstalled, enlarged or modified due to the convenient panel system. Only the gasket and the fasteners have to be replaced. ETS-Lindgren’s veteran manufacturing team in Finland worked hard to ensure the same manufacturing success in India. As a result, the India manufacturing facility is fully compliant with the ISO 9001:2008 certified Finland facility.
