Lunch and Learn Session Presents Road Map on Future Software Upgrades Evening Open House Includes Update By Michael Foegelle on New Wireless Standards
Cedar Park, Texas – April 18, 2016 - ETS-Lindgren announced the inaugural edition of the EMQuest User Group meeting. EMQuest is a powerful software tool for measuring basic antenna performance metrics as well as testing both radiated and conducted performance of various wireless devices. Scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Innowi in Santa Clara, California, USA, the meeting brings together expert speakers, existing EMQuest Users, and not-yet users who are interested in learning more about EMQuest. As with the company’s popular TILE!™ User Group meetings, the purpose of this inaugural event is to educate users on how to maximize the benefits of EMQuest and be informed of future revisions planned. Included in the day's presentations will be a Lunch and Learn session on ETS-Lindgren's EMQuest Road Map, where speaker Michael Christopher, Director – Software Engineering with ETS-Lindgren, will share the company’s knowledge of upcoming wireless standards, requirements and test methods that will be addressed in future EMQuest upgrades.
The EMQuest User Group meeting also features ETS-Lindgren’s Jari Vikstedt - Manager, Wireless Solutions; Leon Enriquez - Manager, Field Services; and Michael Foegelle, Director of Technology Development. Dr. Foegelle will provide a review of upcoming changes in the CTIA wireless standards during the evening open house at Innowi that concludes the day’s program. This will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to hear about these changes in real-time from an active participant in the CTIA Certification Program Working Group, Wi-Fi Alliance, WiMAX Forum, IEEE 802.11, and 3GPP. Dr. Foegelle has served as chair or vice-chair of various working groups in these organizations and currently co-chairs the joint CTIA/Wi-Fi Alliance Converged Wireless Group and the CTIA OTA Measurement Uncertainty Subgroup.
Together, the speakers will work with attendees during hands-on usage of EMQuest as well as provide an open, interactive session where the speakers can answer any questions the attendees may have. Demonstrations of EMQuest using the AMS-8923 wireless test chamber at Innowi during the evening open house will further increase the attendee’s knowledge and understanding of EMQuest.
