In short, your image is safe with us!
For state-of-the-art MRI door technology, ETS-Lindgren’s new EVO Series of MRI RF shielded doors are designed to provide reliable, low maintenance service for use in a rigorous MRI environment. To facilitate access into and out of the MRI suite, this manual door is equipped with an easy-open, lever-style handle. The low friction design makes it easy to open for MR technicians while the concealed seal design is aesthetically pleasing to patients. With a low profile, ADA compliant threshold, the door allows for effortless patient gurney transfers and easy cleaning, especially for surgical applications. But perhaps the most important feature of this new door is its acoustic performance with Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating choices of 28, 34, 40 and 44 (49 dB of sound reduction at frequencies of concern). This results in a quieter, calmer environment near the MRI suite for staff and patients. Visitors to ETS-Lindgren’s booth can open and close a full size door to see just how easy it is to operate and view the exceptional, modern design.
ETS-Lindgren’s MRI safety solution SAFESCAN - a ferromagnetic detection system (FMDS) - enhances the security and safety around an MRI suite as it pertains to ferrous materials. The presence of ferrous materials near an MRI suite may lead to imaging issues that are not only a nuisance to a facility, but may adversely affect patient diagnosis and throughput. They may also lead to more serious situations such as significant damage to the MRI magnet, or worse, harm to a patient or staff member. Visitors to ETS-Lindgren’s booth at RSNA may view an actual demonstration of the FMDS and learn more about how this innovative product ensures MRI safety and productivity.
The next generation of Med-Vizion™ LED lighting products for MRI applications offers a significant improvement over traditional incandescent lighting. Unique to ETS-Lindgren, these maintenance free lighting systems are rated for 80,000 hours of usage and feature simple installation with plug and play connections. Most importantly, compared to traditional incandescent lighting, the environmentally conscious LED lighting offers brighter images with reduced energy consumption, resulting in energy cost savings over time. Drop by the ETS-Lindgren booth at RSNA to see a full scale LED down light; see how cool and bright the light actually is!

Our latest educational offerings include a webinar on MRI safety with industry expert Tobias Gilk, M. Arch, MRSO (MRSC™), attended by over 500 MRI professionals. The next webinar is scheduled on December 13. Click here to register to attend (Webinar ID: 672-913-747). This webinar was specifically designed to fulfill the new MRI safety education requirements of The Joint Commission for MRI staff. Trained as an architect, Mr. Gilk has focused his entire professional career on medical imaging/therapy architecture. In 2002 he became involved in MRI safety, designing the first MRI suite to use the (then just-published) original ACR White Paper on MR Safety. He later became a member of the ACR MRI Safety Committee (Chaired by Dr. Emanuel Kanal), and contributed to what became the 2007 ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices. Mr. Gilk has written scores of articles on MRI safety, provided MRI safety training and consulting services for hospitals, organizations, and accrediting bodies, has been an invited presenter on MRI safety issues for the FDA, ISMRM/SMRT, AHRA, RBMA, and many other US national and international groups. Mr. Gilk is a certified MR Safety Officer, serves on the Board of the American Board of MR Safety (ABMRS), and is an outspoken proponent for evidence-based best practices for MR safety. Join us in December for this essential webinar or contact us for a special customized training for your organization.
